Understand People by Studying Culture

The Graduate School of Humanities aims to cultivate individuals with creative ideas and an extensive outlook on life through its education and research philosophy to nurture individuals who can contribute to today’s international society, not only by providing them with expertise in each field of humanities, but also with solid theories and empirical methodologies.

That is, this graduate school aims to nurture creative individuals who possess a broad perspective and critical thinking capabilities by commanding a view of global trends and placing advanced research and education at the heart of this.

Based on the philosophy of this graduate school, our master’s programs place an emphasis on developing intellectual individuals who can demonstrate their full potential in response to social demands. In the doctoral program, the aim is to develop individuals who can achieve creatively and socially useful research in their respective specialized fields while continuing to keep a broad-minded approach.
